It is always a relief when New Year's is finally here and you can have a rest from the huge activities that December brings. Last night I had my family over for a BBQ to see in the New Year and the kids were still up at midnight so it's nice to celebrate the changing over to 2011 with them. It would be nice if they slept in, no such luck as Sienna was up at 5.30 am however James slept in until 6.30 am so that was something. Everyone came back around 9.30 am for a breakfast of bacon and eggs on the BBQ and the kids had a quick swim as it was a bit cold and rainy today. We are all very tired and will be having an early night tonight. I made the pavlova in the afternoon which was beautiful; crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside which was a big hit all round with adults and the kids. The last photo are of the colourful poppers that I got from Woolworths, they were great. They packed some punch in the noise and streamer department and looked very festive. Happy New Year everyone.
