I'm joining in for the 6th year in Ali Edward's "Week in the Life" which I wrote about here. Here's what our Day 5 looked like.
One of James chores each morning is to unload the dishwasher.
Sienna was doing her Mathletics homework on the laptop.
This was Sienna's homework exercise to write out instructions and bake something.
Ready to go to school for Show & Tell and share with her class.
This is the time we left home to go to school this morning.
Around the house the monopoly game still set up from a while ago as James wants to continue on with this game even though he had $41 left and was mortgaged to the hilt.
James bedroom door at nearly 11 years of age.
Sienna's bedroom door at 8 years of age.
My little Witch and Zombie ready for Halloween Trick or Treat in our neighbourhood.
Here they are with some of their best poses for the camera.
And some more poses from the Witch and the Zombie.
The Zombie, the Skelton and the Witch welcoming you to Halloween 2014.
Kids in front, parents in back as we head towards the first house for Trick or Treat.
Looks like your neighborhood really gets into Halloween.
ReplyDeleteDo all the kids visit each house on masse? That must be so intense for the people they are visiting. Almost need to shower the crowd with lollies ;)
Looks like the kids loved it!
A little note goes in the letterbox to the residents a couple of days before saying the kids will be coming around "Aussie Style" ie no tricks, just treats. There is a little ribbon attached to the note saying if you don't want to participate and want kids knocking at your door to put the ribbon on the door that way we know not to disturb that house. I would say about 3/4 of our little Estate gets involved and the rules for the kids are "walk, don't run" and we have guiding parent as well. It's lovely for the little ones but they do get too many lollies that's for sure but I guess it's once a year. Kathy
