Week in the Life - Day 3

My friend and I headed into Southbank and the city on Wednesday to stop in at the markets and take a couple of photos of Brisbane.  I've posted 3 photos today however due to my internet running low I'll post the rest of Day 3 pictures next Monday.  Found another Big Pink Bunny in King George Square like the Bunny I spoke about in this post.

Week in the Life - Day 2

Here are my photos for Day 2 for Week in the Life.  Half way through the day I got called up to say Sienna was sick so I had to collect her and bring her home.  We grabbed some medicine and DVD's on the way home to settle in for the afternoon with her pink bunny for company.

In the morning and time to empty the dishwasher.

Coffee time at home.

A trip to the chemist for Sienna who was feeling unwell.

Sienna resting on the couch with her pink bunny for company.

Sienna's DVD choice of "Ice Age 4"

Beautiful fluffy white clouds this afternoon against a blue sky.

This turkey is a pest and even though we live right near bush land they insist on flying into people's backyards and causing havoc.  This was about the 15th time I had chased it out of our backyard that afternoon and he was back again on the fence.

Week in the Life - Day 1

I'm participating in Ali Edward's Week in the Life (WITL) again this year and yesterday was our first day.  I've written about my previous years in this post here.  This week I'm taking photos and notes and then in a couple of weeks time I will set some time aside to start working on the book.  Here's some photos taken for our Day 1.

Rubbish Bin Collection Day in our suburb.

The time we leave home for the school run.

The expensive price of petrol at the moment and having run empty on both tanks.

Another washing day with a beautiful blue sky.

Collection of eggs from our chickens Jazzy and Rosie.

Coffee with my friend Jo.

Afternoon pick up routine at school.

The horses near our house were out and came over to us to get a pat.

Afternoon playtime on the trampoline.

Taking the washing off the line at the end of the day and folding it.

STILLS : A WEEKLY COLLECTION

Here's my weekly link up with Emma from The Beetle Shack for what's been happening in our life this past week.  Not your average week due to a Giant Pink Bunny that has made it's appearance in and around Brisbane.  The Brisbane Festival is on at the moment and this pink bunny was designed by Stormie Mills for "The Stormie Mills Project" which features a number of these huge pink bunny's dropped off under darkness to new locations around the city.  Yesterday the pink bunny was at Mt Cootha Lookout so my sister and I took the kids up there to check it.

The designer said that he wanted to create something that would make people happy and it was something that was completely unexpected.  Well I think he nailed the brief, because a huge pink bunny is definately not what you would expect to see as is completely "unexpected" and it did make people happy seeing it.  I have lots of photos so of the big pink bunny so here you go.  Bunny's have been seen at Carindale Shopping Centre, Woolloongabba, University of Queensland, The Barracks and on the 1st floor of a city building near the glass window.  You can see other people's Instagrams photos of the Bunny around Brisbane at #sharethebunnylove or #thestormiemillsproject or #bnefest

15.  KWH (aka "Kids Were Here") this morning I woke up to this.
16.  KWH yes it was everywhere but the kids were laughing and playing for about 2 hrs together this morning so I didn't mind.  Half of it is cleaned up now and the other half we will have to get to.
