STILLS : A WEEKLY COLLECTION (WEEK 37)

Here's what's been happening in my week with my sister in town from Perth.  We took a drive to Redcliffe for a coffee and to check out the tribute to "The Bee Gees" which we haven't seen yet.  Barry Gibb came to Australia in February 2013 to officially open it and The Moreton Regional Council have done such a lovely job.  I didn't know what to expect but it's a walk way between two streets and it's bright and happy and has lots of photos and a time line of their journey.  I thought it was well done and quite a simple tribute but very clever as it doesn't take up hardly any space.  We were big Bee Gees fans playing their records back in the day when there were turn tables (aka record players).  Such great memories from our teenage years.  My kids wouldn't know who they are, so it was nice to share the visit with two of my sisters who grew up listening to their music as well.

Bee Gees Way at Redcliffe which is a tribute to the Bee Gees who grew up there.

My sister Michelle from Perth.

Brisbane from Mt Cootha.

The 4 Sisters....there's a wine called the "4 Sisters" and when we get together we sometimes buy it as a tribute to us...even though the winery has nothing to do with us but we are 4 sisters after all.

Pineapples growing on the way to Dayboro.

Delicious little pineapples purchased from the road side stall.

Roma Street Parklands, lizards everywhere.

Beautiful spring flowers are everywhere at the Park.

My sister Lisa taking some photos with a very alert lizard watching me take her photo.

Self timer so I can get in some photos.

A family self timer photo of Mum with her four daughters.

Roma Street Parklands with the city skyline in the background.

They have put in Bee Hives at the Park and on the left is called a "Bee Hotel" with the Hive to the right.

Some self timers with my camera sitting on my handbag.

Another self timer on the handbag trying out these deck chairs at Roma Street Parklands.
